Kitson LA’s nail polish collection
Painfully trendy LA boutique Kitson has released a collection of nail polishes inspired by LaLa land. The Kitson LA Nail Polish Collection ($10 each) features 10 polishes with oh-so-California names like Tabloid Pink and Paparazzi Red. We’re normally a quiet, Essie Mademoiselle kind of girl, but when we saw these polishes this morning on BellaSugar, our inner 13-year-old roared to life. (Believe me, there was a time when bright green nail polish was all Jolie wanted in this world! Even now, it’s fun to indulge occasionally.) No doubt, candy-color nail aficionados like Rihanna and Lauren Conrad will be thrilled.
Speaking of Essie, I haven’t visited the site in months, but they’re finally updated it to make it much more user friendly. Check it out here, where you can search by color name, color swatch, or collection. Good move, Essie!

Yesh- these look so tacky! Stick with the Essie mademoiselle, please.
I’m a Zoya devotee myself & have the gorgeous Blair on my toes right now, much more chic than the kitson, but I wouldn’t really say kitson (the store, let alone the polish) is chic in the first place…

I agree, my knee-jerk reaction was tacky, too! But as individual colors, some of them are fun, and I think every once in a while, it doesn’t hurt to let your inner preteen out to play.

I think with a classy, grown up overall outfit (hair, makeup, etc.) these colors could look fabulous! I don’t wear color on my nails often enough, what a simple way to make you feel young again!
