JolieMD Featured in Women’s Wear Daily!

Huge news! Our new skincare venture, JolieMD, was recently featured in the beauty and fashion industry’s bible Women’s Wear Daily.  To wit: we launch in December at Studio Beautymix at Fred Segal in LA and at CO Bigelow in New York…with more retailers coming soon.

The line, meanwhile, which I co-created with Dr. Jason Litner and Dr. Peyman Solieman, two facial plastic surgeons (known around these parts as “the docs“), is a problem-solution line, with our first product Metamorphosis, designed to treat hyperpigmentation problems, like uneven tone, post-acne marks, sun damage and even help reduce melasma.

I can’t wait for it to finally go on sale so you all can try it for yourselves.  This has been the main thrust of what I’ve been working on since last December, and there have been a lot of challenges.  How to create something effective…but which is also glamorous?  We wanted the line to work for women of all ethnicities, at any age…and not just work, but excel.

I’m really proud of what we’ve created, and I hope the market will respond well to it.  There are, obviously, so many skincare and beauty options out there (hello, half of them are on my dining room table right now!) so we knew it’d be a challenge to introduce something that would make women sit up and say, “Wow!”  Luckily, we’ve been hearing from retailers that we have a unique point-of-view, story, and amazing ingredients (peptides and acids and botanicals, oh my!) and just might be able to gain a little traction after all!

Keep your fingers crossed for us, and please mark your calendars.  You can bet I’ll sound the alarms again when our website is up and when it finally goes on sale!

That’s so exciting! I can’t wait for it to come out. Your skin issues sound exactly like mine, so you already know how incredibly hard it is to get the right skincare regimen that’s appropriate for our fussy complexions. Congrats on getting that off the ground!

Congratulations! With all your experience and all you’ve seen in terms of beauty and skin products, I know that if it’s something you developed,it has to be addressing an unmet need and will be effective. Can’t wait for it to launch & get my needy little hands all over it!

I’m looking forward to this product. Hyperpigmentation from acne is something I definitely suffer from, especially in my chin area and on my back. Does your product contain Hydroquinone? Many products that treat pigmentation do and therefore I shy away from using them. I have yet to find something that really does speed up the fading of hyperpigmenation, so I can’t wait to try yours!

With a name like Metamorphosis, you can do no wrong! So clever, and so exciting to see an editor turn entrepreneur. I look forward to test-driving on my sunspots.

I read about Metamorphosis in WWD. I know it’s launching this Month but would love to know where I could pick up in NYC.

    Thanks!
