Bond no 9 releases New Orleans scent
Luxury perfumer Bond No.9 is famous for their New York neighborhood-centric scents (i.e., Bryant Park, Coney Island, Nuits de Noho and, my favorite, Chinatown–you guessed it, an oriental!). They’re released a few non-New York offshoots here and there, and the latest celebrates the Big Easy with Bond No.9 New Orleans ($325), which has notes of cinnamon, sandalwood, tuberose, violet leaf, cassis and vanilla. The bottle is adorned with a Swarovski crystal fleurs de lys.
I love their scents, but honestly, their prices (even for non-Swarovski-crystal-adorned bottles) are kind of ridiculous. Regardless, if you’re in New Orleans tomorrow (Saturday, December 5), stop by Saks Fifth Avenue where founder Laurice Rahme will be at the store from 11 am to 6 pm signing bottles. See if you can score a free sample!

What is up with all of the new perfume releases? Is it just a christmas-time thing?

$325 for a bottle of perfume – no matter how delicious – makes me feel nauseous. Do any of the profits go to New Orleans? Bond No. 9, this is a major fail.

This is a bit expensive but I have a bottle. It is something that I would wear to a birthday part and not every day to work.
I guess for most people the price tag is a bit outrageous.

I love Bond No. 9 Scents. I have yet to try this one but it sounds incredible. I love the scent of Vanilla and Cinnamon!
