Daniel Dinh and his amazing lashes rock my world
Okay, guys, I have been incredibly late and lazy in (properly) posting about this, but I have to tell you about something that has absolutely changed my life: lash extensions.
Several months ago, I went to the Daniel Dinh Longmi by Daniel salon in Beverly Hills on assignment for VanityFair.com. Little did I know I was beginning what I think will be a lifelong love affair.
Daniel is head and shoulders above every other lash technician in the country–and, honestly, maybe in the world.
He holds the first and only US patent for lash application, makes his own custom lashes and custom glue, painstakingly applies each lash one-by-one…oh, yeah, and has a client list that reads like an awards show red carpet, including Katy Perry, Hilary Duff, Beyonce, Halle Berry, Jewel, Angela Bassett, Joss Stone, Nicolette Sheridan, Janice Dickinson (…plus several more hush-hush A-list celebs who you know on a literally 1st name basis).
The process takes several hours: usually about 2.5 hours for me, during which I put in my iPod buds and promptly pass out, usually waking in a puddle of my own drool, which I’m sure Daniel really appreciates. When I first had it done (as you’ll see in the video below, taken after my 1st visit in December), the whole lying-still-for-2-hours thing kind of freaked me out, but I’m used to it now. And lest you think it’s not worth it, let me assure you: it is SO worth it.
After I leave Daniel’s salon, I have perfect, Latisse-on-crack, you-have-never-seen-such-gorgeous-lashes peepers, and they last for 6 weeks. 6 weeks! (6 WEEKS!)
What this means for blonde gals like myself is: you wake up, and assuming your skin is relatively good and your hair isn’t all matted and homeless-esque, you can literally walk out the door in 2 seconds flat and still look put together.
Like I said earlier: changed my life. Cannot recommend him highly enough.
Call 310.962.2442 or email appointments@longmibydaniel.com to schedule yourself–and tell ‘em Nadine Jolie sent you!
