Kate Middleton named to People’s Best Dressed List; still not engaged
Our girl Kate Middleton has been named to People’s Top 10 Best Dressed List. The fashionable company includes Jennifer Aniston, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, Lea Michele and Olivia Palermo (who has, bizarrely, been receiving a lot of great press recently, also gracing the cover of the latest Tatler).
Wills and Kate have been in the news constantly this summer as outlet after outlet proclaims that they’re on the brink of announcing an engagement. Nay, they’re already engaged! OMG, the champagne has been ordered!! Maybe they’re already married!!!
Deep breaths.
According to royal reporter Richard Palmer of London’s Daily Express, Clarence House shot down rumors last week, saying Prince William has not discussed anything with aides. Methinks he’s in no hurry to marry and that nothing will happen until 2013, after the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, at the earliest.
Meanwhile, I was told by a source in London back in June that they’re not engaged, not living together in Wales, and that Kate is still very much on the ring hunt. (I was also given private details about Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton–who I ran into and citizen-papped at Harrods–and her then-secret boyfriend Alex Loudon that I chose not to reveal, and which were trumpeted by Dean Piper in the Mirror. Now that it’s out, I feel no qualms!)
In any case, it’s generally accepted that William and Kate’s wedding is a question of “not if, but when.” However–unless things have changed recently, always a possibility–it seems that Kate herself is still wondering “when”…

omg, I think olivia palermo is gorgeous and superstylish but tatler’s cover is awful, don’t you think??? she looks weird, and the makeup is too heavy, makes her look older… Honestly, I think she looks million times better at any of the tipical paparazzi pics of her in the street…
I agree, it’s a bizarre cover. It’s very 60′s/high fashion, which is a bit of a departure for them – but I’m simply more confused by the choice of Olivia for the cover, full-stop. Hadn’t realized The City was so popular in England!
By the time Prince William proposes to Kate, he will be bald as a billiard ball and she may not say yes! Sigh…
