Just landed in England a few hours ago, and am so happy to be back!

The next few days are going to be a whirlwind of Princess-related activity. Jerramy Fine (author of Someday My Prince Will Come) and I are putting on a one-day Princess seminar this Saturday called Princess Prep, and we have a slew of media attending and filming. The rest of my trip will feature trips to Wales, Scotland, Kate Middleton’s hometown, Edinburgh (including the amazing Balmoral Hotel), Bath, and Brighton, reporting for a variety of outlets–it’s a jam-packed three weeks!

Flat Kate is usually pretty overdressed (roller-disco outfits aside). She went all out for her flight to London.

Prince Harry is on the cover of the May issue of British GQ, promoting his charity Walking With the Wounded, which raises money for British soldiers who have been wounded in service.

Who would have ever guessed that Prince Harry would turn into a such a hottie?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the British monarchy is on fire this year! Their press officers deserve an excellent holiday bonus.

Katherine Heigl on David Letterman

Have you heard of the SmokeStik? It’s an electronic cigarette that gives cigarette-addicted users a fix of nicotice while emitting water vapors. As a result, it can be legally smoked indoors (although I don’t know about on planes, which is where it seems it would be really helpful).

The biggest celebrity proponent for the Smokestik is Katherine Heigl, who is often photographed with hers, and appeared on David Letterman a few months back touting its virtues. She’s now apparently designing a cigarette for SmokeStik called the Pitbull, and proceeds from its sale will go to her dog rescue foundation Compassion Revolution.

I’ve been meaning to do a post on this forever, but it kept slipping away from me because it’s not really beauty related. (But then again, smoking causes wrinkles and aging–not to mention, obviously, cancer–so maybe it is relevant!)

In any case, having lost family members to lung cancer, I’m all for anything that helps people quit smoking–even if it is exchanging one (harmful) addiction for another (harmless one)!

It’s a beautiful day in Laguna Niguel! Today’s my last day on set, after 14 hours of shooting yesterday with two famous actresses. The director called me “One-Take Nadine” and a “consummate professional” (yay!!) but the rest of the time was gobbled up by all the camera moving, shot prepping, makeup/hair/outfit changing, and interviews! I have a newfound respect for actors…
