Ramble: Brazilian Blowout update, Charlotte Casiraghi in Chanel, and my haircut at Byu-Ti salon

CELEBRITY BEAUTY, HAIR, Royalty 1

Lordy, lordy – I completely forgot to write about the latest in the Brazilian Blowout scandal/lawsuit. (I knew about it. I just forgot to blog it. Bad Jolie!) So…the long and the short of it is that Brazilian Blowout settled their class-action lawsuit, agreeing to pay $4.5 million dollars to consumers harmed by the product or misled by Brazilian Blowout’s false claims that they were formaldehyde-free. Glad that’s finally put to bed.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover of the April issue of Interview magazine. I’m sure she’ll reach overexposure levels pretty quickly, but for the time being, I love her.

Lady Gaga took a photo of herself with no makeup and apparently it is national news. Not really sure what the big deal is, as I post photos of myself with no makeup all the time. Then again, I am not an international pop superstar known for looking like a drag queen, soooo there’s that. In all seriousness, I love it when celebs post makeup-free pics. Famous people! They’re just like us! (Only richer and with more substance abuse.)

Charlotte Casiraghi, who’s the new face of Gucci, attended the “Swinging London” themed Monaco Rose Ball wearing a gorgeous blue Chanel gown. I’m so excited that Charlotte has been getting more attention recently, because I heart her, but I also feel sort of possessive over her, like she’s my secret. I’m just so used to friends saying, “Charlotte who?”

I’ve been in LA for 4 years now, and if we’re being real here, it hasn’t been easy for me to find a hair stylist (read: stylist, not colorist!) that I’m in love with. I’ve seen many great people at great salons, but I just haven’t felt that soulmate stylist chemistry.

But lo! I went to Natasha Sunshine at Byu-Ti Salon in Santa Monica today, and we MAY have a winner. I say that tentatively, because I’ve been burned by many stylists in the past, but as you can see from my results today in the video above, so far, so good!
