What was he (Paul Jean) like? No snootiness or anything? I always go to average $40 salons because I’m sort of nervous they’ll be snooty/ arrogant due their typical rich/famous clientele. In short, is he friendly to commoners? :) Also, your hair is supremely awesome. Beautiful and I love your natural waves!
Vann, he’s super friendly and down-to-earth – and very funny! His staff is teeny (just two people) because it’s a hair spa concept, so you’ll basically be the only person in the salon. The one-on-one attention is great, and while it’s not cheap (you’ll be paying about four times more than you’re used to), I think the proof is in the pudding. He really is phenomenal.
Thanks, Nadine! Just a quick question (sorry for all the questions) – but if you were going to be in socal for only a week, which salon would you go to? No color, just a cut. Just curious b/c there’s a lot of blog posts on the site about salons and I want go to someone who’s very good. =) I don’t care about price b/c I take my hair seriously. LOL
