The Golden Globes are here, the Golden Globes are here! Hollywood’s drunkest night is preceded by one of its most fun weekends, with a slew of parties and suites in LA to celebrate the Globes. In past years, I’ve zipped all over town going from event to event, party to party, but this year I decided to reign it in. Since moving to Santa Monica, there’s only so much driving I can take, and if I schedule too many events, I end up spending the entire day in the car. Not fun.

The one event I marked as a must on my calendar this year was the L’Oreal Paris Luxury Lounge, where I said hi to my PR buddies, received some goodies in the gifting suite (including Oscillococcinum, the homeopathic flu remedy, a Nautica sweater, office supplies from Staples, and a gorgeous Pandora charm bracelet), and had a bright red L’Oreal manicure.

I’ve been doing long-lasting gel manicures the past couple of months, but am in the middle of a cycle where I’m giving my nails a chance to breathe and regrow, as the gel left them a bit weak and worse for the wear. My nails have been looking sad and depressed without any polish on them, however, so the red cheered me up and made me feel much more…well…polished!

L’Oreal also had a party later that night with Beth Behrs from Two Broke Girls and L’Oreal makeup artist Billy B, both to celebrate the Golden Globes and to celebrate L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick‘s 21st birthday! I ended up missing the party, but I have something even better for you all than party pics: to celebrate their 21st birthday, L’Oreal is giving away 21 lipsticks to 21 Jolie readers!
