For your viewing pleasure, here are some random photos of Leighton Meester performing at TAO in Vegas just after New Year’s.  I like that Cobra Starship song “Good Girls Gone Bad” as much as the next person, but it’s still a bit bizarre seeing Blair Waldorf writhe on stage in skinny jeans.

My Flip camera saw major action this weekend!  While backstage at Wango Tango, I took several videos in the gifting suite, in the celebrity lounge, by the red carpet, and by the celebrity trailers.  Check them out, including a video of Kelly Clarkson’s arrival, Lauren Conrad clutching my book, Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton on the red carpet, Fergie getting her makeup touched up, and more.   (For the full spate of videos, check out my YouTube page: youtube.com/jolienyc!)

Isn’t Leighton Meester beautiful?  In previous photos I’d seen of her, I wasn’t digging the new blondish hair color, but in person, it was gorgeous.  She was extremely soft-spoken and seemed equally overwhelmed and excited by all the madness going on backstage.  After I stopped her for a photo, I caught her a few minutes later raptly watching Lady Gaga’s performance of Poker Face.

Now, my friends can attest to my remarkable skill at “We Took It!” photos.  Apparently, that skill goes out the window when I’m around pretty people who act for a living.  Note to self: next time, ask a passerby to do it!  (Sadly, all photos to follow are equally unflattering for the ol’ Jolie.)

For the Costume Institute’s annual Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the 2009 theme was “The Model as Muse.”  (What does that mean?  I haven’t the foggiest.  I’m the idiot that skips conceptual art in favor of pretty flowerscapes.)  Regardless, there was some fabulous beauty and fashion on display tonight.  In another lifetime, perhaps I shall warrant an invite.  Dare to dream!

So, were you as breathlessly excited as I was for Gossip Girl to come back last night?  (And 90210 tonight?  Be still my heart!)  Blair has a well-known penchant for headbands and hairscarves, and last night was no exception: the Double Rosette Headwrap she’s wearing in the photo below is by Jennifer Behr and costs (eek!) $152.  (Or you could go the Jolie route and rock it out at Target.)

Are you as excited for the new season for Gossip Girl as I am?  I simply can’t get enough of pictures of the cast on set…

Blake Lively’s long, thick, golden locks, Leighton Meester’s wild and wacky ensembles, I covet it all!  (Oh, yes, and Blake’s gams are, in my mind, already legendary)
