Even wanted to travel business class on an international British Airways flight? Mrs. O Around the World gives you the lowdown on the experience, from check in to lounge to fully flat-beds. (I was lucky enough to be spontaneously upgraded at the Heathrow check-in counter for a London to LA flight once, and it was maybe the most excited I’ve ever been in my life. Ever. British Airways Club World is no joke!)
Cape Town has some of the world’s best wine tasting, as A Luxury Travel Blog discovered while staying at The Cellars-Hohenort in the Constantia region. It’s close to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, features 10 acres of beautiful grounds, and is centered in the world’s oldest wine growing region (dating from 1685). You can never go wrong with a gorgeous Relais & Chateaux property like this: yes, please!
Travel Panties goes to London and experiences it James Bond-style: think martinis at Dukes Bar, a tour of iconic locations like Somerset House and Old Royal Naval College, the London Film Museum for the Bond in Motion exhibit, and shopping at swanky bespoke shop Turnbull & Asser. Sigh. I miss London!
And finally, Luxury Travel Mom achieves another bucket wish list and travels to Cuba with her 15-year-old daughter. (That’s them, below, in front of the pink Thunderbird.) Wondering what she saw–and how she did it legally? She’s on assignment for a magazine, so read all about it here.
As for me, I went to Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa in Rancho Santa Fe, and indulged in three days of tennis, delicious food, croquet, and awesome shopping. More to come on that trip soon!
